Ti Hays

Ti was born in Phnoem Penh, Cambodia. His family and he immigrated to the States in 1979. He grew up in Wheaton, IL and attended The University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He graduated with a pre-med biology degree, but decided to forego medical school after taking a summer improv class at the College of Dupage.

After landing a few lead roles and during the production of the “King and I” in which he played the King, Ti decided to pursue acting with all of his heart, having fallen in love with it. Other memorable roles at C.O.D. included Ephraim in “Desire Under the Elms,” Captain Scott in “Terra Nova,” and Don Jon in “Much Ado About Nothing”.

Ti co-founded MAIA FILMS with Rick Ramirez in May of 1997. He wrote, co-produced, co-directed, and edited Maia's first feature film, “The Promise of You” in which he also played the lead role of Marius.

In 2000, he moved to L.A. and has been cast in several independent films, most notably “My Brother's Light”, “Destiny”, “I.A.” and “Heat”. As a co-executive producer for Maia Entertainment, Ti has recently played Schroeder in “Luci D” and Lu in “Rehearsal Time”, both directed by his partner Rick Ramirez.
